Joking Jonah

Jonah is our 3rd grader. This year he has truly turned into the joker of the family. He reads joke books and then tells us jokes at dinner, in the car, during homework... just about everywhere.
The girls try to follow in his footsteps, but they are still learning the concept of humor and often their jokes aren't funny. Jonah is doing well in school. He loves playing soccer after school with friends and is a member of the Chess Club.
Jonah is also a cubscout and fast learning the skills of a cub. He attends his meetings regularly and has already earned lots of beltloops and badges. He is really looking forward to the pinewood derby coming up in January. He will work on his car with his dad. What a fun thing to look forward to.

Creative Katie John

Katie John is our 1st grader. Today was the 1st grade feast for Thanksgiving. I went down to take pictures for the yearbook, so I was able to take extras of my girl. She is wearing a hat she made and eating on a placemat she wove herself! What a fun thing!
This is one of Katie John's drawings that she did at school. It's a circus tent if you couldn't tell.
Katie John really likes going to school and playing with her friends. She likes to play with her dolls, but especially she loves to sing. Katie John is one of the best singers in primary and works hard to know all the songs. She likes to sing in the car, in her room, in the backyard.... just about everywhere (to Jonah's dismay). Katie John is very special in many ways.

Super Sariah

Sariah is now 4 1/2 years old. The realization that she will be attending kindergarten next year hit me really hard this week when I realized that enrollment is coming up very soon. Sariah is smart and very vocal. She sang a "Rockstar" song while swinging on the swings today. It was loud, funny and all made up by her. I'm sure the neighbors had a good chuckle. Sariah is also my super helper during the day. She strolls the stroller, plays with kids, picks up in front of the vacuum and can pour juice for lunch.
Sariah also loves to color and draw. This is one of her many creations. If she isn't around for a while... I find her quietly coloring in her room. What a wonderful girl!
Her imagination is truly amazing. I can't wait to see what she does next. We are lucky to have her in our family.

Cutie Keira

Keira will be 17 months old on Sunday. I thought I'd document some of her cuteness and give you an update on her. She loves bath time because she can play with her plethora of duckies. She also enjoys hanging upside down and swinging back and forth.
She is talking more and more in understandable words. Her most difficult words to say are graham cracker, but we can understand. She is almost to nursery age. After Christmas she'll go into her new class. She is growing taller and can almost run without falling. Everyday we play at the park where she has lots of friends and enjoys going down the slide. We really enjoy our super cute girl!
